First level completed!


Hey everyone! Jessica here, as the design lead for our project Crazy Cat Lady. In this post, I’m going to give the rundown on significant changes/updates we’ve implemented recently. Now you can be up to speed on our progress on this game.

  • Level 1 (Grandma’s House) is Completed! With all assets textured and implemented into the scene with a tutorial on how to complete quests for the cats.

  • Grandma’s movement and animation speed have been fixed (Since she was moving too slow but her movement and animation speed were too fast in the first testing phase).
  • All game levels designs have been conceptualized and finalized:
    • 1. Grandma’s House
    • 2.  Townsquare - Day
    • 3. Markets
    • 4. Café
    • 5. Townsquare - Night 
  • In the middle of constructing level 2 (Town).
  • All 2D assets for each cat mission are completed.
  • UI implemented along with a countdown timer.
  • Paw print stamps on mission UI box after completing a mission.
  • 2 Types of enemies in-game at the moment are the green man and doggo.
  • All cat sprite designs are completed.
  • In the process of creating animation sprites for the cats, dogs, and characters and some item pickups too.
  • Updated the clocktower texture in Level 2 (Townsquare).
  • In the progress of 3D modelling and texturing assets for level 2 (Townsquare).
